Exactly. You don't need Marx to figure this one. No wages/cash, no life other than in a cardboard box. Maximizing profit margins at the expense of people, well feudal Europe wasn't exactly warm to the value of human life (gawd will figure these things out). Nothing new here other than the consequences. The AI response would an A in the academy. A complete parroted response.
The thought that had occurred to me before I prompted it was whether now that AI is destined to take over a lot of these manufacturing type jobs, whether Entfremdung would now go another step by not merely displacing the spiritual connection of worker and product, but alienating the worker ENTIRELY. Looks like it.
I know this isn't the point, but after the "cute parlor tricks" initial phase in 2022 I took a break until recently, and now find AI actually useful for things I actually want to accomplish.
I'm afraid this might be one of those times. I've been fooling with even the most obscure philosophical points and it's done a pretty good job. I'm told the coding outputs are really good now.
And I'm a bit relieved I no longer have to grade papers in this era... assuming "papers" are still a thing.
Yeah, coding assistance is one of the things I've been using it for. It lets me do things in hours that even at the top of my game would have taken me days, and I wouldn't otherwise tackle at all now that I'm lazy(er) and (more) impatient. By default it doesn't always do things in a nicely structured way, but it will fix it if you tell it to.
