What's old is sadly new again, yet they still don't listen.

The recent episode of the tangerine tyrant talking to an AI version of Teddy Roosevelt was very telling. He idolizes him for his physical strength but has no interest in following his example of service to the nation. It made me reflect on the Progressive Era in general as a backlash to the previous Gilded Age of concentrated wealth. May I leave to see the backlash to Gilded Age 2.0!

Probably the last generation to listen to the words or have words worth listening to. “Red Solo Cup! Red Solo Cup!” She’s such a stupid whore, a stupid whore! “Do you hear that music? That’s Beethoven.” How could a dog play the piano?
